What can I say. This cage is fantastic. The dragon loves it. Its aesthetic is amazing. Solid, great looking, very though out. The heavy glass doors are key in my opinion. Definitely a solid purchase. If you’re on the fence trust that you will be making a great decision on a stellar product. The only thing I can think of to improve (and this is nit picking) is in the instructions - put a couple notes indicating that the screws go in the side where the holes are wide enough for the head to sit flush. Not a big deal but helpful. Seriously a great design and your impeccable attention to detail did not go unnoticed. For example, all the pieces of pvc had the plastic protector removed except the inside of the ceiling. I puzzled over that for a short time and came to the conclusion that it was left on purpose “to prevent oils from hands from getting on the surface that could cause issues sticking 3M tape accessories on it during installation “. I could be wrong but that was such a thoughtful detail if true. Lots of companies think of details - this one really considered everything. Thank you!
I am extremely impressed with the quality of these enclosures. Shipping matched up accordingly with estimated lead time. I have them set up as bioactive enclosures. Instructions were clear and if not, a quick YouTube search did the trick! I had to add my own locks though. I will be ordering again for my boa imperator enclosure when it is time for his upgrade. Customer service was excellent!
I had this installed on my 8x2.5x2 whilst it was being built. It looks great. Theres no pixelation or anything even on that size. Looks real honestly. like a window. What you see pictures is what you get, to a degree. The picture isnt actually 8x2. The aspect ration is more akin to a 4:3 than a 16:9. So you'll get a portion of the picture that's shown. But you get to pick the portion (this will likely vary by cage size and aspect ratio (height/width). Theyll send you an email and you can select what portion of that whole picture you want. Again, nice, because it custom to what you want. One thing that could use some work is the way you have to order it. If you're ordering this as an add on to an existing cage, its just an add to cart. If you're adding it to something that hasn't been built as part of that order, weirdly you do the same thing. You just pick your cage and options (of which this should be one, but isnt). then you go and pick the same size background separately and add that to cart. Then they just figure out that you want that installed. Seems clumsy. why not just add it to the options on the cage page? anyways, good product. Customizable even from what you see pictured ( though that is the exact pic). Not all backdrops will be able to be used on all cages. Theyll let you know of you pick one that wont scale well.
I upgraded from an Animal Plastics 4'x2'x18" enclosure of a similiar style. The build quality on this is better, the customer service folks actually get back to you (I had been trying to get replacement doors on the aforementioned AP enclosure for over a year with no traction), and it ships flat rate apparently (I thought this was proximity based, but was informed that it wasnt, it's just flat rate). I'd seen alot of videos on a certain facebook contributors tortoise page and thought they looked sturdy. They are. And when you're buying something this big (8x2.5x2) shipping becomes a concern. Some competitors are charging the same price as the unit itself for shipping. Thatd be about 3k for this unit. flat rate cost me only about 300$ in shipping on this instead. That's what really sold me. Its definitely worth the price, but I wasnt about to spend the cost of 2 of them just to get it shipped from a competitor. Packaged great, easy instructions, did need 2 people to put it together because its BIG. If you're in an apartment this could be tricky because they deliver curb side. and you arent going to be able to just pick up the box and drag it upstairs. It has to be unpacked where it is dropped off (my garage is where they dropped mine, so no issues getting it unpacked from there). May also want to get some furniture dolly's to move the pallet if they dont drop it where you want it (says curbside, the guy was probably just being nice and put it in my garage). I had bought 2 Animal Plastics cages over the last 20 yrs. Wont be going back. This is where it's at. also bought two 48" luminize fluorescents from Toad Ranch. Good as well!
I'm very pleased with this enclosure. It was easy to assemble. The materials used are top notch. Plus Fed loves it
