This was the second encloser I've purchased from Toad Ranch. As always they are super easy to assemble. I added a misting system in both to raise humidity. I use the enclosure for newly hatched box turtles. They spend their First winter in the enclosed. This gives them a headstart before they go into an outside enclose the following spring. Great product.

Toad ranch has built 3 enclosures for me and I can’t endorse them enough. Quality with well thought out features such as glass doors, stacking capability and customization to what meets your needs. This is a very well built product and works as described.
However it gives off a great deal more heat than I was lead to believe.
My install is on the inside of the top of the enclosure and it tends to make the enclosure much hotter than desired.
I find it necessary to run the vent fan many more hours than planned in order to remove excess heat. It has a hard time keeping up.
If It could be mounted on the outside top it would be fine.
That is not how my cage is built.
Hi Kenneth, Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a review! LED light bars like the Jungle Dawn do give off a bit of extra heat, and it sounds like your enclosure fan is already doing great work managing temps- if you'd like further control of your temps, a thermostat can control your heating devices as well as your fan to send heat when needed and ventilation when needed based on temps.
We offer screen top options for all our enclosures, and can provide replacement top panels (screened or solid) if you ever decide to move your fixtures outside. If you need help choosing or setting up a thermostat—or anything else—just let us know. Always happy to help dial in the perfect setup! 😊
