Description:

Sliding glass doors need a little clearance to glide, and that leaves a narrow gap where the two panes overlap. In a bioactive setup, isopods and springtails do the quiet work of breaking down waste and keeping the soil healthy. They don’t usually reach the doors on their own. A branch resting against the glass, decor near the front, or substrate banked up to the door track gives them a way up, and once they’re there, the gap is big enough for them. The Sliding Door Gap Seal is a clear, adhesive-backed vinyl strip that sticks to the edge of the rear door’s glass and closes the gap, so the crew stays where they’re useful and out of your living room.

How to order
Measure the height of your glass doors and round up to the nearest foot. You’ll trim the strip slightly shorter than the glass during installation. One length covers one door overlap. If your habitat has more than one pair of sliding doors, order a length for each set of doors.

How to install
Clean the edge of the rear door glass and let it dry. Peel the backing and press the strip along the edge. Leave a small gap at the top and bottom so the strip clears the door track rails. Close the doors and check that they slide freely. Be sure to trim around your lock slide.
