48" x 28" Ledge | Universal Rocks

Universal Rocks Ledge Background
For 48" × 28" (LxH) Enclosures

Universal Rocks created this ledge style by taking natural rock ledges from Australia and combining them into the design offered today. Perfect for aquariums and reptile enclosures, with fish loving the ledges to hide under and pick algae from, and reptiles to bask on or hide under. The ledge protrudes about 2" to 4" on smaller tanks and 3" to 7" on larger ones. Hand-made to order by Universal Rocks.

Compatibility Fits 48" L × 28" H reptile enclosures.

Note: Backgrounds are manufactured ½" shorter than the listed size. For a proper fit in a Toad Ranch enclosure, trim ½"–1" from the edges.

Dimensions
- Length: 48 in
- Width: 7.5 in
- Height: 28 in
- Weight: 13 lbs
- All measurements are approximate. Each piece is hand-made to order, so slight variation is normal.

Important Installation Note

Once installed, this background fully covers the back panel of your enclosure. Please order your enclosure with the vents relocated to the side panels—this option is available in the “Customization” menu on the enclosure product page.

About the Product
Universal Rocks is the industry leader in realistic rock ledges, backgrounds, and décor for everything from small enclosures to zoo exhibits. These pieces are molded from polyurea/polyurethane (similar to spray-on truck bed liner). They are lightweight yet extremely durable and highly realistic. Each piece is unique and colored with a blend of oxides, sands, and crushed rock—no paint is used.

Easy Mounting Option
Make installation simple with our PVC mounting blocks, offered as an add-on for this background: (8) 1½" × 3" × ½" blocks and (8) screws. The blocks peel and stick to the outside of your enclosure, right behind each screw point, giving each screw nearly an inch of solid PVC to bite into: the panel plus the block.
